The Hollywood Reporter: The Actresses Issue.

With the Academy Award just around the corner it makes total sense for The Hollywood Reporter to tout out 2014’s suspected nomination candidates. While the interview was interesting to read, I must admit that I was mostly blown away by the stunning portraits of the equally stunning leading ladies. Check out some of the pictures below.

Oscar hopefuls: (clockwise from left) Emma Thompson, Oprah Winfrey, Octavia Spencer, Amy Adams, Julia Roberts and Lupita Nyong'o grace The Hollywood Reporter's annual The Actresses issue

Coming to TV: The roundtable chat will air on PBS in December

Mommy: Julia shared a story about how her children don't want her to perform her way through their bedtime tales

A rough start: Oprah confessed that she was humiliated on her first day of 1985's The Color Purple

She's come a long way, baby: Emma said her mother was called a 'whore' for being an actress

The newcomer: Lupita relayed her first job in the movie business was as a production assistant on The Constant Gardener with Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz

Challenges: Amy said her most difficult shoot was with Julia on Charlie Wilson's War because of the weather

  1. WOW! They look gorgeous. I kind of feel like Sandra Bullock & Angelina Jolie should be a part of the cover, well maybe it’s because they are my favorite actresses. I would love to read this article, but unfortunately we don’t this magazine in Norway.

    • i was a bit surprised that sandra bullock wasn’t part of this shoot too, especially because i’m pretty sure she might get nominated thanks to all that oscar buzz, but i don’t know. i guess we’ll have to wait and see.
