Vera Wang SS15.

She told WWD that she hoped this collection would show how her dresses can be worn for any occasion, despite being white, and I have to say that I think Ms Wang may have proved it, especially if these pictures are anything to go by.

Modern interpretation: A particularly standout look from the presentation was a white strapless bustier top worn with a layered tulle skirt

Here comes the bride: A more traditional look is this simple ensemble with a lace embellishment on one shoulder

Sensual experience: Of using video to debut her collection, the designer said: 'In this instance, bridal becomes the artistic vehicle to advance my love of fashion in general'

Not your average wedding dress: A model poses on a marble staircase wearing a long-sleeved gown with an intricate lace detail and edgy open back

Setting the tone: The designer told WWD that 'lightness of being, delicate and discipline, sensual and seductive' were her inspiration

Looking at these gowns, they are anything but bridal. They have a wild edge and dangerous vibe to them, but at the same time still have that romanticism and whimsical allure that all wedding dresses seem to have.

Fairytale: Instead of a catwalk presentation, an edgy and somewhat eerie video was posted on her website last Monday, starring ghostly-looking models wandering around a dark wood in their gowns

Out of the ordinary: Ms Wang said in a release that the wedding dresses are meant to be 'dreamy and edgy, because girls today are edgy. I don't think of bridal anymore as a niche'

Ladylike: A classic silhouette from the collection was a plunging floor-length halter gown in flowing silk

Is grunge bride a new wedding trend? Vera Wang debuted an edgy new bridal collection last week featuring delicate gowns in satin, lace and tulle

Feeding more into the idea of being the collection of anti-wedding dresses, Vera Wang decided on a short film, directed by Gordon von Steiner, as opposed to a fashion show or presentation, to debut her latest collection. Check it out below.

What do you think? They’re pretty cool aren’t they?
