Today I went to the Tower of London to see the poppy exhibition to commemorate one hundred years since the start of World War One and to remember those who gave their lives of their country, and for those who continue to give their lives for us.
I was absolutely blown away by the exhibition and was completely lost for words. Being stood there, alongside hundreds (if not at least a thousand) of other people, while gazing down at the poppies was such a surreal but incredible experience.
Obviously war is never a good thing, but for those men and women who have laid their lives down for us, it is so difficult to not be overcome with a humbling gratitude and admiration for their brave and courageous efforts…
…and for that I say thank you!
ps. If you’re in London and have a chance, you should definitely go and visit Tower Hill.
