Five Favourites Thursday: Bags.

I haven’t shared any of the latest additions to my net-a-porter wish list for quite a while, so I thought I’d use today’s ‘Five Favourites’ to get you all up to speed on the five bags I’m lusting after.

LBD Inspiration.

As always, I’m on the lookout for some new LBDs – I mean after all, a woman can never have too many and apparently I don’t quite own enough – so where better to check out inspiration than net-a-porter which I always bristling with fabulous ideas. Check out my favourites below.

Winter Warmers.

It feels like only yesterday we were suffering from a sweltering summer and sleeping on top of the sheets because it was just too hot, and even wearing a thin tee was too much in the heat. Somehow, winter has snuck up on us again and it’s that time of year when we start looking for last winter’s thick knitted jumpers and cosy scarves. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve added a few winter perfect pieces to my net-a-porter wish list, and with winter well and truly upon us, now seems like the perfect time for me to start looking for cheaper alternatives. Check out some of my favourites below.

Naomi Campbell X The Edit.

Many a great woman has graced the cover of net-a-porter’s online mag, The Edit, and this week is no exception with the mighty and formidable Naomi Campbell adorning the latest issue.

Helping hand: The supermodel, who grew up in the fast-paced world of fashion, was offered valuable advice from Nelson Mandela

The pictures are absolutely striking and really took my breath away. I mean, just look at her – WOW!

Still a super: Naomi Campbell may have broken into the industry nearly thirty years ago but at 44, she's better than ever - and proves it in this glossy shoot for The Edit High fashion: She's worked for every major fashion house but Naomi admits that even she gets nervous before a catwalk appearance

Internationally renowned: Along with Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell is without a doubt one of the fashion industry's most famous faces and at 44, she's still going strong

In this week’s Edit, Campbell dishes on how she still gets nervous before shows, her family in the fashion world (because let’s face it, this woman has connections with just about everyone in the industry – from the late Gianni Versace to Azzedine Alaïa and John Galliano), as well as talking about her charity work.

Survivor: She says that as a Gemini, she likes to keep moving and doing things and being there for friends no matter how hectic her life may get

I know that I do call a lot of women amazing role models on here, but Naomi really is one of the greats and she is truly incredible.

Internationally renowned: Along with Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell is without a doubt one of the fashion industry's most famous faces and at 44, she's still going strong

Pictures from The Daily Mail

Alaïa, Louboutin, Rossi.

I don’t know about you, but these last eight days have been insanely tiring, and I think I’m only just beginning to feel the comedown of it all. What with graduating (I’ll share some pictures with you soon), reading for classes, driving, graduation parties, more reading, thinking about future careers, thinking in general; I think I can be forgiven for just wanting to curl up in bed and sleep for the next month. Sadly that’s not exactly an even remotely viable option so instead I’ll just kick back and relax with the help of net-a-porter’s ‘What’s New’ section. This week I’ve become completely enamoured with heels (which in part could be because I basically spent the majority of last week in them), so I was happy to see four pairs that I wouldn’t mind receiving in the post *hint hint*.

Even though this week has been crazy hectic recently, I really don’t see it slowing down, but wouldn’t have it any other way! Check out what else is new here.

Kotur #getsmartbag Elaphe Clutch.

Quite possibly THE most genius idea for a clutch I’ve ever seen (though I feel like if there was a built-in charger I’d buy this in a heartbeat), Kotur has brought out a clutch small enough to carry just your phone and either a stick of lipstick or mascara, and that trusty piece of ID and card for a night out. This clutch doubles up as a phone case if you want to be able to see your phone at all times, but don’t want to hassle of having to carry it around in your hand.

J.W.A, Marchesa, D&G.

There were WAY too many fabulous pieces to share with you, so I’ve condensed the list down a little bit. J.W.Anderson takes an otherwise ordinary wardrobe staple, and manages to make it look like an architectural moment you’d find in Barcelona or Prague. Marchesa also rocks the house with their floral number, that while I’m still a little iffy on it, I can’t resist staring at it and imagining myself twirling round for days. And finally, D&G stick to their classic ladylike aesthetic, and have lots of fun playing around with black lace. While these pieces may seem a tad wild, there’s a tone of simplicity running through each design, making them even more striking.
