OMG JUST LISTENING TO THIS SONG AGAIN GIVES ME CHILLS! Who else watched the HTGAWM season finale this week? Wasn’t it just everything and more you could ever possibly ask for? This song played towards the end of the episode when Annalise was breaking it down for the D.A. (spoiler alert) and it was the best thing ever – there’s really nothing I love more than when Annalise shows people who think they’ve got her backed into a corner, whose boss. The whole explanation of how season’s events gave me chills on chills on chills, and it was partly because of this song. It’s haunting, mysterious and a bit sinister while also being nonchalant and cool. Oh and don’t even get me started on the instrumentals. That violin/cello/ string instrumental in the beginning is simply KILLER and when the other instruments come in later – GOLD! Andrea Wasse’s voice on this track is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL and I could listen to this song all day long… (And in fact I think I will).
This song is a MUST listen! It’s amazing. Happy Sunday.
While it’s no secret that I count Olivia Palermo, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen (to name but a few) as my style icons, there’s one girl a little closer to home who always keeps me inspired in the wardrobe department: my sister! She makes everything look so cool and striking, while looking absolutely effortless and laidback.
I mean, is this sweater not to die for? Happy Thursday.
Many a great woman has graced the cover of net-a-porter’s online mag, The Edit, and this week is no exception with the mighty and formidable Naomi Campbell adorning the latest issue.
The pictures are absolutely striking and really took my breath away. I mean, just look at her – WOW!
In this week’s Edit, Campbell dishes on how she still gets nervous before shows, her family in the fashion world (because let’s face it, this woman has connections with just about everyone in the industry – from the late Gianni Versace to Azzedine Alaïa and John Galliano), as well as talking about her charity work.
I know that I do call a lot of women amazing role models on here, but Naomi really is one of the greats and she is truly incredible.

Quite possibly my favourite track from I Forget Where We Were, Conrad is a song that lets me just stop. I stop thinking, I stop stressing, I stop fussing, I stop analysing; I stop moving, and simply focus on the moment. Listening to this song is like standing in the middle of the ocean and allowing the waves to roll over your head, the feeling of complete surrender totally washing over you as you allow yourself to be. The calming effect this song has is INSANE, and I can honestly say that without a doubt, Ben Howard has once again outdone himself.
You have to make sure that you give this album a listen. It truly is completely awe-inspiring and amazing! Happy Sunday.
I made this for dinner the other night and thought I’d share the recipe with you. This was definitely the most challenging thing I’ve ever made, but I think that’s mostly due to the fact that I had (and still do now) no idea how to peel a butternut squash. I know that sounds kind of dumb, but I did struggle with the peeling. Aside from that though, this recipe is fairly straightforward. Enjoy!
What you’ll need:
Deep dish frying pan
Regular frying pan
Chorizo, Arborio Risotto and Butternut Squash. I later added mixed vegetables
This was hands-down the hardest part of the whole recipe…
Parboil the butternut squash. Two to three minutes should be enough time
Leave the chorizo to stand while the rest of the ingredients cook
Add some extra veg
Make sure you pour in all of the chorizo juice!
NB. For a vegetarian alternative, simply skip the chorizo and chicken stock, and add extra vegetables and vegetable stock.
This was UH-MAZE-ZING! And it really filled me up. So much so, that I even had leftovers :O
You can also check out this recipe here for more details.
ps. Reading this back has made me insanely jealous of my past self… and VERY hungry
If there’s one album that I’m REALLY looking forward to hearing this year, it’s Paolo Nutini’s Caustic Love. The latest single from his third studio album, ‘Iron Sky’, is already a hit amongst, Adele, my sister and myself, which if you ask me, are only critics you should even pay attention too. Check out the album trailer below.
My heart cries every time I hear this song, but somehow hearing this particular version, my heart wept and wept non-stop – in fact I’m pretty sure that it’s still weeping. Watch me fall apart Ben… watch me fall apart…
