Despite being on the fashion scene since 2011, it’s taken me up until last weekend to discover Rebecca Vallance. The Australian born designer started as a fashion publicist before turning to creating her own brand that has grown from a small local clothing line to an international presence, being stocked in stores like Harvey Nichols and Intermix, as well as on luxury online stores like net-a-porter.
Of her clothing you can expect structured feminine pieces, that while ladylike are not ultra-dainty, but movable stylish garments that cater to the modern woman. You can also expect lots of flamenco-style ruffles and pleats for added texture and character.
Though the designs are undeniably great, their price point is also something to look to as it’s not excessively expensive – at least not compared to some other designers.

Don’t ask me why, but I have a newfound obsession with the colour white. It’s gotten to the point where I’m a little disappointed I can’t wear white every day, and I’m contemplating discarding of all my clothes and buying white replacements. Where this sudden urge has come from, I have NO idea. That being said, I must admit that I am enjoying wanting to branch out into other colour palettes, and that I have enjoyed browsing the web (who cares about all those uni deadlines anyway…? Hahahha) for potential purchases. Anyway, I thought what better way to procrastinate than to share a few of my favourite white pieces that will soon (fingers crossed) be a part of my wardrobe family.
First up we have this lovely flowy ASOS number that I may or may not have purchased, and that I may or may not be REALLY excited about. It’s one of those pieces that I’m really nervous about in case it turns out that I really hate it. So keep your fingers crossed for me, while I pray to the fashion gods 😉
Next we have another ASOS creation. At first I thought the dress was just extremely see-through, so I was going through ways of wearing it in my head, so that it wouldn’t show off my underwear… but then I actually read the description (that tends to help every once in a while…) and realised that it was a beach dress, so it being see-through isn’t something I should worry about – phew!
And then finally we have this scoop back lace embroidered shift dress that despite its apparent thickness would look perfect on a hot summer’s day walking through the city. My favourite bit of the dress is of course the low back… there’s something about back cleavage that I really love.
What do you think? Pretty nice, huh? I should probably get back to work now…
It’s been a while since Carolina has graced this blog… and her blog, but she’s been on away on holiday, so I guess that’s okay. Here she is wearing a simple yet fun Emerson Fry shift dress and those cult Céline shades that I’ve been lusting after since forever.
I am OBSESSED with this look!

So today I got out of bedding feeling a little sad and like I wanted to spend the whole day, dressed in black, moping in bed. Luckily my inner Alice made sure I snapped out of it and I realised: what better way to make yourself feel happy than to dress up a little? While the pink and silver combo with tortoise shell shades seems like a weird mix, I think it looks perfect.
Topping up my tan…
The complete look: Dress – H&M; Shirt – Jack Wills; Sunglasses – TOMSeyewear; Bikini top – Kookai
I spent the day out in sun listening to Tim McGraw and trying to make myself feel better. Not a bad day if you ask me…
I’m going to start off by saying that I REALLY need to get this dress! For the past couple of days it’s been giving me the run-around and it’s driving me crazy! I’m always thinking about this dress, dreaming about it, staring at it… obviously it doesn’t really help, the fact that I have a picture of it on my phone, so I can’t exactly escape from its floral clutches, but still…
The picture I stare at several times a day in mourning, because alas, asos never has my size in stock 😥
To me, this is the perfect dress. Don’t ask me why, because I would normally turn my nose up at dresses like it, but for some strange reason I just cannot resist!
I’m not really much of a bright floral dress person, but this one is the only exception. There’s something about it that screams: OWN ME!! Yet at the same time it taunts me with: ahahaha you’ll never have me. And if there’s one thing that irks me, it’s wanting something that I can’t have.
Anyway I felt that I had to vent somewhere, so thank you for letting me go on. And if the fashion ASOS gods are listening, can you please, please, PLEASE put my size in stock; I’ll love you forever.
Last night I went to my childhood best friend’s housewarming party. I’d been looking forward to it ever since she first told me she was moving into a new flat, so you can probably imagine my excitement when I realised she was moving a road and a half away from my house! Anyway, I wasn’t too sure what to wear, until I remembered: when in doubt, always wear an LBD – that’s a Little Black Dress to those of you who aren’t fashion initiated 😛
definitely my favourite look
Obviously I would look overdressed he he, although I didn’t go bare-legged or in heels. I also thought that my chunky knit cardigan would help to dress-down the outfit.
heels – ASOS
I decided on black tights and ballet flats, so that I wouldn’t look like I was going to a cocktail party haha.
dress – topshop; cardigan – h&m; coat – uniqlo; ballet flats – topshop
It was such a fun night of drinking and laughing. And lucky for me living round the corner because it meant I didn’t have far to travel… though that also means I had no excuse for being an hour and a half late… ooops.
en route to the parrrrttteeeeeey
This is just a quick post to show what I’m wearing today. The weather has definitely exceeded itself in the heat stakes. You have no idea what it’s like waking up to such gloriousness, especially after weeks of miserable rain and overcoats. I’ve gone for the simplest of simplest ensembles with one of my favourite racer back dresses.
Dress – Jack Wills
My day has involved walking around barefoot (but be warned the pavement is SCORCHING!) and listening to music. What are you doing today? Let me know what you think.
