KW X The Edit.

“We will not fail. We will not go down. We will fight the fight. There’s always a solution.”

Kerry Washington is the resident cover girl for net-a-ports online magazine, The Edit, and omg is she a stunner! We know that looks aren’t exactly everything, but as this is a fashion blog, aesthetics really are kinda, sorta everything (and as expected we were not disappointed!).

In the magazine, Kerry talks about Scandal (natch), being a woman/working mother in the industry, as well as giving a little insight into her new production company named after the street her mother grew up on in New York.

This was such an inspiring and beautiful spread that most definitely reignited my loved and admiration for the actress.

Talking about Scandal, last Saturday was spent binge watching and catching up on the last few episodes and omg has it been all kinds of juicy scandalousness. We can’t wait to see how the season will come to an end, but we’re super excited to find out!

Kerry Washington X The Edit.

Wow FINALLY! Kerry Washington is The Edit’s latest cover girl, and she is looking all kinds of beautiful fabulous!

Cover girl: Kerry Washington flashes just a hint of skin on the cover of The Edit, wrapping herself up in a jacket from Isabel Marant

I’ve been staring at these pics since yesterday and I love how effortless and serene Kerry looks in every shot. She truly is an incredible role model and inspiration.

Showing some leg: The 38-year-old actress got some sun in another stunning shot, going barefoot in a simple Marni dress

WOW WOW WOW. You can check out more pictures and the rest of her interview here. Happy Friday!

Kerry Washington X The Hollywood Reporter: Beauty Issue.

She may not have made it onto one of the four covers (which is an atrocity if you ask me), but that doesn’t stop Kerry Washington from being an inspiring and beautiful cover girl in her own right.

Glamour goddesses: Kerry Washington is just one of many stunning leading ladies featured in the annual Beauty Issue for The Hollywood Reporter

Kerry features in The Hollywood Reporter’s beauty issue with her hair stylist Carola Gonzalez, and made it to number six in THR’s top twenty five beauty moments of 2014 (again if you ask me, she should have been a bit higher on the list but still…).

Anyway Kerry looks as radiant as ever, and would you look at that; it’s Thursday today which can only mean one thing: TGIT! Happy Thursday 😀

Kerry Washington X Allure Magazine.

Ms. Washington graces the November issue of Allure, and she is just BREATH-TAKING. In the issue she talks about makeup and what it’s like filming Scandal (especially those pesky sex scenes ;)) and what it takes to get her into character.

Kerry Washington is definitely ready for her closeup: The gorgeous 37-year-old lets her natural beauty shine through on the cover of Allure magazine's November issue

Oh and speaking of Scandal, I really can’t wait for this week’s episode! Eeeeek!

Five Favourites Thursday: Scandal Edition.

Last Thursday Scandal wrapped its third season, and boy oh boy did it go out with a BANG! The season has been one hell of a crazy ride, and I have screamed at least once during each episode (although obviously I screamed a lot more during some episodes than others). Anyway, as there won’t be any new episodes until god knows how long (fingers crossed ABC announces that it’s been picked up for a fourth season so that I can start counting down days), I thought I’d spend this last Thursday of the month remembering my five favourite episodes of the series*. Below are the five promos for my five favourite episodes, so check them out.

Were you watching Scandal this season? Or are you still watching it? If not, I think you know what to do: get watching!

*FYI it was really hard narrowing down eighteen to five, but I managed. If this were a ‘Six Favourites Thursday’, I would definitely add in “Vermont is for Lovers, Too”. But just so that you don’t miss out on that promo, I’ve added it below, so enjoy!

I Really Need to Get a Life But…

I was holding out on writing this until Thursday, but I realised that I really couldn’t wait that long, and who cares if I kind of repeat myself in a few days anyway? Not me!! So anyway, on Thursday Scandal returns for its third series (though technically I think it’s its second) and to say that I am BEYOND excited would be an understatement. Don’t believe me? Well you can check out my tweets to see just how coo-coo I’ve gotten over it. The sneak peeks have been AMAZING and have gotten me all the more pumped for the return of my favourite show! To see me through this long drought called ‘The Christmas Holiday Hiatus’, I’ve been watching Scandal like nobody’s business and just relishing the awesomely smart, witty and plain downright fantastic script, actors and soundtrack. Following fellow ‘Gladiators’ (I never thought I’d refer to myself as one and become a crazed overly obsessing fangirl…) has also helped with my withdrawals, although now I’m starting to think they’ve made me even more crazy.

So anyway, indulge me a little and check out the preview above and don’t forget to let me know what you think. Are you watching it too? And if not, why they hell aren’t you?! You’re missing out on some tantalizing television GOLD!

ps. Obsessing over Scandal’s return doesn’t even touch on Grey’s Anatomy which also returns this Thursday! I’ve said it twice and I’ll say it again: Thursday’s going to be a good day 😀
