Simple As…

A song that feels like it was made to be played on full blast and on repeat for the rest of time. This 2009 track from Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day album, is a perfect song to just kick back and think to, and is perfect for Sunday, for non-other reason than the fact that it’s such an easy-listening song that you feel yourself dissolve into a realm of peace – something similar to the euphoria you get from an incredible yoga session.

…and it’s really simple as that… Happy Sunday.

Chasing the Sunset.

We’re at that point where even though it feels as though summer has been going on forever (especially if you’re like me and your summer started way back in May), and as though summer might just never end; what with these glorious hot sweltering days that we’ve been having, spent lying out in the sun, wearing things that in a few months’ time we’ll be in such disbelief about. Anyway, as we come to the end of July and the beginning of the end of summer, on this hot summer’s night, I wanted to share a couple of pictures that I took a few weeks ago when the sun was setting and London was buzzing. In these pictures I take the time to reflect back on this seemingly never-ending summer, at all the things that have happened; and look forward to the rest of the summer and the adventures that await me (well, us, seeing as I share everything with you guys).

How’s the summer been treating you guys so far? I know it’s been long, but we’ve still got another month left to go. Hope you all have a good evening. Goodnight.

All I Want.

Part of what makes a successful show for me, is a soundtrack that has you searching Google and YouTube frantically once the episode is over. That’s probably what’s drawn me to 80% of the music in my iTunes library and part of what has me completely and utterly OBSESSED with some TV shows. Anyway, on Thursday morning I watched the latest episode of Suits and this song played at the end of it. I don’t know what it was, but I just felt something ineffable and got sucked into it. The song is soft and relaxing, and the simple piano has you swimming in a pool of your own beautiful consciousness, while the lyrics massage your thoughts and shower you with love. I guess you could say this song brought me peace – just beautiful, beautiful peace.

Happy Sunday.
