You know those pieces that for some unexplainable reason, the moment you lay eyes on them, something clicks deep within and before you know it you’re forgetting about your work and spending most of the morning looking at pictures online and calculating it’d only take two months to save for the beauty? Just me? Well last week during my morning read of emails and newsletters I came across a feature in Coveteur that mentioned this bag, The DK88, and some unexplainable reason, I found myself falling in love instantly, falling through the rabbit hole of Burberry’s website, completely forgetting about all the work that I had to do. While this bag is not usually one I’d give a second glance, I felt a really strong connection to it and (like I mentioned above) started calculating how long it’d take for me to save up; and (like I mentioned above) realised it’d only take two short months (in fact I realised I’d be able to afford it come August payday). But in the hopes of keeping myself on a leash and not going over the top, I figured that if I posted about the bag here, my obsession would slowly fade. Here’s hoping anyway…
Medium DK88 in Honey
Chic, ladylike, available in lots of great colours – like pink – and oh so wearable, I am in L O V E. Isn’t it a real beauty?
While it’s true it’s not every day I’m able to wear a fancy gown… in fact come to think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever worn one, but that doesn’t stop my undying appreciation for a floor-length dress with a bit of character and charm. Though some are not ones that would usually appeal to me (Marchesa I’m looking at you even though I’ve been in love with you gowns for at least over a decade), there’s still something about all of them that I love. Case in point, the gowns below that drew my attention for various reasons.
I guess I’ll have to make do with just looking.
Despite being on the fashion scene since 2011, it’s taken me up until last weekend to discover Rebecca Vallance. The Australian born designer started as a fashion publicist before turning to creating her own brand that has grown from a small local clothing line to an international presence, being stocked in stores like Harvey Nichols and Intermix, as well as on luxury online stores like net-a-porter.
Of her clothing you can expect structured feminine pieces, that while ladylike are not ultra-dainty, but movable stylish garments that cater to the modern woman. You can also expect lots of flamenco-style ruffles and pleats for added texture and character.
Though the designs are undeniably great, their price point is also something to look to as it’s not excessively expensive – at least not compared to some other designers.

I’ve been in love with Mansur Gavriel ever since they first launched on net-a-porter. And though it took me some time to admit it, I’ve been in love with mini bags for a while too. I love the unique shapes and lines that Mansur Gavriel products have, and I love how they branched out from their iconic bucket bags, to chic footwear that is just as stylish and classic. With the case of mini bags, I just love how miniature and small they are and how cute they look.
So imagine my delight when doing my weekly perusal, I came across Mansur Gavriel’s latest offering: the Sun Mini Mini. Sun Mini Mini has probably got to be the cutest mini bag range I’ve ever seen (sorry Fendi). Everything from the size, to the drawstring, right down to the trademark bow detail, I am in love.
What’s more, these cute bags come in a variety of colours… and guess what? Yes, I want them all…
There have been a lot of beautiful shiny things on net-a-porter recently and I couldn’t just keep them to myself. Though I’d say my taste in jewellery has always remained pretty consistent, as I’ve gotten older I’ve seen that there’s a very specific type of jewellery that drives me while. Dainty, delicate small pieces that are so cute and feminine yet understated and not too flashy – especially when it comes to earrings.
But the thing I love the most about all these beautiful shiny things? They’re just so nice to look at, and it’s as simple as that.
Since discovering Anita Ko on net-a-porter a few years ago, I have been obsessed! I love how girly, cute and fun all the pieces are. As a massive earring fan, I especially love all her tiny studs, that have inspired me to fill my ears with loads of piercings just so that one day I can wear all of them.
And don’t even get me started on the rings? Each ring is just as lovely and delicate as the last, again making me want to wear all of them… Ah alas, I guess for now, looking will just have to do.
Aren’t these all so dreamy? See more from Anita Ko here.
How cute are these Carolina Bucci studs? A simple design that’s not boring (thanks to the glittered coating) and oozes sophistication, these earrings are the kind every girl needs in her collection.
Available in three different colours, you can get bet that these are right at the top of my wish list.
