Tomorrow Land.

When I first heard this song on Friday, I knew I just had to share it, download it, listen to it continuously on repeat, dedicate my life to it – the list goes on. I haven’t felt so moved and inspired by a song’s smooth gliding melody, beat and lyrics in such a long time. This is one of those dramatic moody but beautiful songs that would sound just perfect on a stormy and rainy cold night, while we’re sat by the window watching the thunder and lightning outside. I really could listen to this song for the rest of my life.

Oh, and Leon’s voice is HEAVEN. Happy Sunday.

Gimme All Your Love.

It may be a bit late, but as promised I have another song that featured on an episode of Suits a while back. Powerful, raw and all consuming, this song is definitely worth a listen so make sure you check it out.

I just watched this week’s episode and I can’t believe the first half of the season is already coming close to an end 😦 oh wells… Good night!

야생화 (Wild Flower).

Wow! This song was too beautiful and powerful and moving for me to wait until Sunday to share it. This song had me stunned into silence, while I felt a wave of chills all over my body – no joke! If Sunday’s soundtrack wasn’t evidence enough of Park Hyo Shin’s mad vocal kills, then this song will quite literally knock your socks off…

Wow, just wow. Happy Wednesday.

Papaoutai.

Once you get over the powerful undertones of the song that makes you think back to those uncomfortable years growing up and this poor boy trying to get his father to move, you’ll feel like getting up and dancing along to the moving rhythm – or so I hope. Truth be told, I’m still recovering from the intense emotions I felt after watching/listening to this song, but despite its heaviness, it is truly beautiful and the video is crafted so artistically that you’ll have no choice but to watch the video about a hundred times.

So enjoy, and I’m sorry if you cry… Happy Sunday!

Halfway Across Heaven.

“I’ve been planning on flying higher than any plane… I’ve been thinking about adding colours into the rain…”

I’ve rewritten this post about a hundred times but for some strange reason I can’t seem to express my feelings in words. When I heard the first line of this poem I was moved; about halfway through, I was completely transfixed; and by the end, I was in awe and inspired. There really is something about poetry that allows for self-reflexivity, which I believe to not only be a good thing, but a necessary thing. This poem (from San Francisco based poet/musician/totally ripped 😉 Semaj) gave me the space to get lost in the words, to feel the rhythm, and to just explore my own mind. It was raw, emotional, beautiful, powerful and magic.

Give this poem a listen and let your mind wander. Check out more from Semaj here.

Only Love Can Hurt Like This.

OMG this song! OMG Paloma! OMG the feels! While I’ve never been a fan of Paloma Faith (or heard any of her songs for that matter), after hearing this powerful ballad, I will definitely start listening to her stuff.

OMG the feels. Happy Sunday.

End Of The Affair.

Powerful. Moving. Mesmerising. Courageous. Haunting. Authentic. Stunning. Beautiful. These are just a few of the many words that could be used to describe this live version of  a single from  Ben Howard’s latest, album I Forget Where We Were, but then wouldn’t come close to adequately describing this wonder of a song that seems to encapsulate the meaning of life itself. And yes it should probably go without saying that I’ve watched this video more times than I can count.

Stay tuned tomorrow for some more Ben.
