Darkness Within.

Earlier in the week I spent the day catching up on Suits (I’m so excited that it’s back!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s better than ever! The first episode takes place a few hours after the end of season five, and though it was quite predictable, I loved seeing the gang together and the soundtrack throughout was amazing – as usual. This song played at the end of the first episode and it fit so well with the dramatic, tense ending.

I can’t wait to see how the rest of this season will pan out. Happy Sunday.

Judgement Day.

I couldn’t find the song I wanted for today’s Soundtrack, but have no fear because I have something just as great for you guys to listen to. If you’ve been watching Suits recently you’ll know of Mike’s legal trouble regarding him being a fraud (read more about that here) and how his lack of a Harvard law degree has finally caught up with him. The lyrics go perfectly with the storyline and I’m surprised the music supervisors for the show were able to find such a perfectly fitting song. The song (and storyline) is also a reminder that everything you do catches up with you eventually, so it’s best to live a good a life as you can because you never know what you might get.

Happy Sunday!

Anyway.

So Suits is finally back which means you can expect half of the soundtrack to end up here on any given Sunday hahahahahaha. The mid-season premiere was filled with just as much drama as the mid-season finale last year and it had me on the edge of my seat. I won’t go into too much detail about the episode because I have a post coming in the next couple of days, where I talk about some of my favourite things about the episode. So anyway, this song played at the end of the episode and OMG the feels I felt. It was really emotional, and after an hour of not knowing what would happen and feeling conflicted about Mike (i.e. technically he is a criminal, but because we know him, he doesn’t quite seem like a total criminal), this song acted like the perfect emotional release. Daniel’s voice is hauntingly heavenly and this song is definitely worth a listen!

Oh and before I forget; if you want to try your luck at winning up to £500 to spend at farfetch.com, there’s still time to play their ‘Guess the Designer’ game. Happy Sunday!

River.

Yes, another song from Suits that just had to be shared. This song played at the beginning of the mid-season finale and almost had me close to tears. There’s really nothing quite like an emotional slow song that gets you thinking about everything and nothing. This song is definitely worth a listen… or twenty 😉

Now that Suits won’t be returning for some time, where am I going to get my new music fix from now? Oh well… Happy Sunday.

Gimme All Your Love.

It may be a bit late, but as promised I have another song that featured on an episode of Suits a while back. Powerful, raw and all consuming, this song is definitely worth a listen so make sure you check it out.

I just watched this week’s episode and I can’t believe the first half of the season is already coming close to an end 😦 oh wells… Good night!

Into The Wild.

Having been out of the country and out of even an ounce of Wi-Fi for the past couple of weeks, I’ve spent the last couple of days catching up on everything from TV shows (I’m still not entirely caught up) to music to celeb news to blogs etc. Anyway, during my Suits marathon the other night I stumbled across a few new songs that you’ll be hearing in the coming weeks. To start off I’m sharing Wrabel’s ‘Into The Wild’ which appeared in the beginning of episode six.

Who else is watching this new season? It’s been so great so far and I can’t wait for next week! Happy Sunday.

First.

When I heard this song on last week’s Suits, I realised just how long it’d been since I had last listened to Cold War Kids. It’s funny to think that I used to listen to them on repeat for hours on end, and would sing along to all the words on ‘Mine is Yours’, whilst daydreaming about maybe one day seeing them live. My how time flies… Anyway, like most other Cold War Kids songs, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. it’s got this vibe to it that’s just so Cold War Kids (sorry I don’t know how else to describe it), and it’ll have you tapping your feet and humming along in no time. It’s perfect for a lazy summer’s Sunday basking outside in the sun.

Happy Sunday.
