All We Do.

I’m not 100% sure why I chose this song to be today’s Soundtrack. It’s eerie, gives me the shivers, and makes me feel slightly uncomfortable – although that could all be down to where I first heard the song. This song played at the end of Thursday’s Elementary, which I was already having trouble understanding. I wouldn’t even know where to begin explaining. In short, this girl “Casey” pretended to be Mina Davenport, a girl who had been abducted ten years ago, and killed an FBI agent who was looking into old case files and was close to figuring out she was a fraud. I didn’t do a good job of explaining, but I guess that’s all the more reason for you to watch it. Anyway, this song played at the end of the episode when Sherlock was talking to Casey and it really creeped me out ergo how this song weirdly became today’s Soundtrack.

Aside from the creepiness I feel every time this song plays, I’ve had it on repeat for a few hours and I love it. This song is definitely worth a listen (or several) so make sure you check it out!

Family and Genus.

It’s that time of year when all my favourite shows are back and in full swing. My latest fave to make its grand return is Elementary. After ending the third season with Sherlock’s relapse, I was intrigued as to how/where they would pick up the fourth season. I was pleasantly surprised at what the writers did and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the season will unfold. Moving on to today’s Soundtrack, this song played at the end of the season premiere when Sherlock meets his father on the roof of the brownstone (I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO EVER MEET HIS DAD – not too sure why I had to shout that hahaha), and like most things, it clicked with me and I had to listen to it a few thousand times. I had wanted to share this last week, but IU won out – but good thing music doesn’t have a sell-by date 😉

Happy Sunday.

Tomorrow Land.

When I first heard this song on Friday, I knew I just had to share it, download it, listen to it continuously on repeat, dedicate my life to it – the list goes on. I haven’t felt so moved and inspired by a song’s smooth gliding melody, beat and lyrics in such a long time. This is one of those dramatic moody but beautiful songs that would sound just perfect on a stormy and rainy cold night, while we’re sat by the window watching the thunder and lightning outside. I really could listen to this song for the rest of my life.

Oh, and Leon’s voice is HEAVEN. Happy Sunday.

Happiness.

If you watched the season premiere of How to Get Away With Murder (don’t worry I’m not going to start talking about it) you’ll recognise this song from the end scene when Annalise and co. are raving it up in a basement club. Also, if you’ve read this blog before, you’ll recognise Chris Corner’s unique and vivid voice from a few music posts. The song features those classic IAMX vibes and like most of their songs, once I’ve listened to it, I’m left in a trance, pondering about the universe and all the things that are wrong with the world. This is definitely a song for you if you’re looking for some deep-pensive thought time.

Make sure you check out the song and next week’s HTGAWM. Happy Sunday.

River.

Yes, another song from Suits that just had to be shared. This song played at the beginning of the mid-season finale and almost had me close to tears. There’s really nothing quite like an emotional slow song that gets you thinking about everything and nothing. This song is definitely worth a listen… or twenty 😉

Now that Suits won’t be returning for some time, where am I going to get my new music fix from now? Oh well… Happy Sunday.

Gimme All Your Love.

It may be a bit late, but as promised I have another song that featured on an episode of Suits a while back. Powerful, raw and all consuming, this song is definitely worth a listen so make sure you check it out.

I just watched this week’s episode and I can’t believe the first half of the season is already coming close to an end 😦 oh wells… Good night!

Into The Wild.

Having been out of the country and out of even an ounce of Wi-Fi for the past couple of weeks, I’ve spent the last couple of days catching up on everything from TV shows (I’m still not entirely caught up) to music to celeb news to blogs etc. Anyway, during my Suits marathon the other night I stumbled across a few new songs that you’ll be hearing in the coming weeks. To start off I’m sharing Wrabel’s ‘Into The Wild’ which appeared in the beginning of episode six.

Who else is watching this new season? It’s been so great so far and I can’t wait for next week! Happy Sunday.
