Gowns, Gowns, Gowns.

While it’s true it’s not every day I’m able to wear a fancy gown… in fact come to think about it, I don’t think I’ve ever worn one, but that doesn’t stop my undying appreciation for a floor-length dress with a bit of character and charm. Though some are not ones that would usually appeal to me (Marchesa I’m looking at you even though I’ve been in love with you gowns for at least over a decade), there’s still something about all of them that I love. Case in point, the gowns below that drew my attention for various reasons.

Thigh’s The Limit.

So, I was minding my own business on net-a-porter (as I do), adding more items to my wish list, when I stumbled across a pair of Stuart Weitzman and Charlotte Olympia thigh high boots. While I’ve long bemoaned the fact that my short legs have prevented me from rocking and being comfortable in anything that goes over the knee, that hasn’t stopped me from (internet) window shopping and looking at a few pairs I would love to wear if I were a few inches taller – a few thousand pounds richer.

Cocktails in Wonderland.

By this point you know that I love dressing casual and sharing my favourite casual pieces. By this point, you also know that I love me some glitter, tulle, frills and all things pink and girly. So when I saw FarFetch’s Christmas season editorial I was ecstatic. There was glitter, embellishments, tulle, ruffles, pink… the list goes on, all in the form of beautiful pieces from designers such as Oscar de la Renta (you know how obsessed I am), Saint Laurent, Valentino and more!

This^^ Oscar dress is by far my favourite. I love the embellishments, I love the tulle, I love the organza, I love the shape, I love the colour – can I just live in it please?

These pieces definitely make you feel as though you’re in wonderland, which is in keeping with their concept. Can’t you just imagine floating up to Christmas dinner in these? Oooh, so dreamy.

What I love the most about the editorial is that it offers a twist to the classic party season pieces that everyone loves. Every piece is whimsical and feminine, but there’s also an element of drama and intrigue, making the looks unique.

Sidebar: doesn’t the model look stunning? The hair and makeup is EVERYTHING in these shots. Ugh she’s so pretty!!

It obviously goes without saying that I want to own every single last piece shown above – I mean what girl wouldn’t? For more, make sure you check out FarFetch.

Olivia Palermo X Madame Le Figaro.

This just in: Olivia Palermo covers the latest issue of Madame Le Figaro and natch she looks UH-MAZE-ZING!

COUVERTURES DU MADAME FIGARO POCKET.

I love the laidback and cool denim concept for the issue, and I love how even barefoot, Ms P is still able to rock it like she’s in a pair of five inch stilettos.

Specs Appeal.

We all know that I’m a massive of sunglasses – the bigger the better in my opinion – so it’s no surprise that I’m in love with these shades below. The lenses are big enough to cover half of ones face, and the frames are thick and chic enough to make one feel like the coolest girl in the world.

Who says that sunglasses are strictly for summer? I’d rock these rain or shine.

Mule, Heel, Boot.

As usual I’ve got a list as long as my arm, leg and foot (COMBINED) to do and I have no idea where to start. Do I paint my nails first? Or maybe start on another essay? Oh, how about that application I’ve been unintentionally putting off, and that the last date of submission is TODAY?! I just don’t know – see what I’m struggling with today? – And these are just the tip of the iceberg. Instead I guess I’ll start by sharing three of my favourite shoes I found on net-a-porter this morning. We have a mule, a crazy heel that I’d never usually consider, and a luxe pair of fringed boots that I need ASAP.
