Good For You.

I’ve been listening to this song non-stop on repeat for the past two weeks, and I swear I love it even more with every listen. Today’s Soundtrack is a sexy number from Selena Gomez’s latest album, Revival, which comes out this month (I’m not sure if it’s already come out yet). I love that despite its sexual nature, the song is sung beautifully – if you ask me, Selena really takes advantage of her *ahem* not so strong vocals, BUT it works so well in her favour for this song – and the lyrics are able to maintain some class/tastefulness.

I just love this song and I’m sure I’ll be listening to it non-stop on repeat for at least another two weeks (if not forever hahahaha).  I want to add it to wedding playlist, but it might be a bit too suggestive for such an event ;). Happy Sunday.

Love You.

I kept going back and forth with this song, deciding whether it should be a Sunday Soundtrack/ or whether I should even post it at all. But then I thought, “fuck it” and decided it was worth it. So… forget EVERYTHING I’ve ever written about my wedding song on here, because THIS song is going to be played throughout my wedding – I don’t care – and SG Wannabe are going to be there singing it to me from sunrise to sundown hahahahaha.

I’m particularly sure why I’m so obsessed with this song, but be that as it may, I guess you don’t choose the music you like – the music chooses you… Happy Sunday.

ps. Happy 4th birthday to the blog (it turned 4 on Friday!). Despite the many name changes and my ramblings the random content, this blog has become such a big part of my life that I honestly cannot remember what I used to do with my time before I started writing it; and I have no idea what I’d do with my time if I didn’t write it. And if there’s one thing having a blog has taught me, is that time flies – I cannot believe it’s been FOUR years already :’)

Angel.

I heard this song the other day and fell in love with it immediately. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to be eighty years old, looking back on the last sixty years you’ve spent with the love of your life. It’s probably one of the cutest, romantic most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard and though it brings a tear to my eyes, it also brings a smile to my face. Ugh I could listen to this on repeat all day… and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Enjoy!

Let me know what you think. Happy Sunday.

Billion.

If there’s one thing I love about Mat (aside from the other billion reasons, no pun intended hahaha) it’s the way he writes his love songs. They are just as easily applied to the more romantical kind of relationship as they are to the more platonic relationships, and ‘Billion’ is no exception. While you obviously know he’s singing about his oh so lucky lady-love, Annie, when I first heard this song I couldn’t help but think of all of my best friends and of all of the people that make me love and live life to the fullest. Anyway, as February is the month of love and today is the last Sunday of the month, I wanted to end it on a beautiful and loving note. I hope you enjoy this catchy song and spend the day spreading the love with those near and dear to your heart.

Lots of love and happy Sunday!

ps. And yes you can expect to hear this song at my wedding reception!

Who Am I?

Today I’m throwing it back to the early noughties with this Will Young classic. I heard it for the first time earlier this week and it immediately felt like I’d known it for my whole life. The melody is beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful, Will’s voice is beautiful – heck everything about this song is so beautiful that it’s made its way onto my wedding playlist. Check it out.

Happy Sunday.
