Winter Warmers.

It feels like only yesterday we were suffering from a sweltering summer and sleeping on top of the sheets because it was just too hot, and even wearing a thin tee was too much in the heat. Somehow, winter has snuck up on us again and it’s that time of year when we start looking for last winter’s thick knitted jumpers and cosy scarves. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve added a few winter perfect pieces to my net-a-porter wish list, and with winter well and truly upon us, now seems like the perfect time for me to start looking for cheaper alternatives. Candy Pieces.

Today’s picks look as though they could easily have come from Dylan’s Candy Bar, and leaves me craving a little sugar for my sweet tooth. Victoria Beckham’s classic leather shopper (which I think definitely has the power to surpass the infamous Birkin given time) appears twice, once in cream and a second time in luminous orange; while her equally stylish tennis dress also makes an appearance in dusty pink. Fendi’s metallic leather flats remind me of a pair I had as a little girl that I really hated at the time, but now looking back I kind of miss them. It’s been a while since a sweater graced the blog, and what better way to reintroduce my coveted wardrobe favourite than with Theory’s super snuggly cashmere offering – I’m in sweater heaven with this baby! Oscar de la Renta, the king of ballroom call never disappoints whenever I’m looking for some candy, and he really didn’t let me down with this cutesy cropped baby jacket that I’d wear over something really simple like a pair of blue jeans and a white tank. Finally we have Gianvito Rossi rounding up the pack with his nude colour pumps, ideal for practically any occasion.

Clu, Veneta & Dreyfuss.

These pieces are from Monday’s ‘What’s New’, but I didn’t get round to sharing them then. Yesterday had a healthy selection of new pieces, but there were WAY too many to share (I know, like that’s ever stopped me before), so Monday’s favourites will have to do. Enjoy.

It’s the back of this striped sweater that gets me. I’m in love with the white silk-chiffon ruffles that have me wishing that I was still working so I could have seen this beauty up close. But oh wells, it’s all good, I guess ogling them from behind a computer screen with have to suffice!

This tank dress also has a pair of matching shorts which look pretty snazzy (it’s just a shame they’re not really my thing), though it was THIS dress that really caught my eye. You can’t really go wrong in a tank dress and when I’m at home (and not being lazy in pjs) this is what I’m usually wearing.

Funny to think that the first week back at uni has flown by and I’m already preparing for a VERY lazy weekend, but not before a fun night out with the girls and some friends.
