Hoods & Studs.

I have a journal article to read and subsequent notes to make on said article, so obviously that means I have to share my favourites pieces that I found on net-a-porter this morning – I mean, first thing’s first and everything – and hey, you could never accuse me of getting my priorities mixed up. So anyway, earrings are slowing beginning to overtake my obsession with rings, especially after losing my most sacred velvet trinket box which housed all my precious jewellery, earrings to be more precise, so I’ve been slowly trying to rebuild my cache. These studs from Melissa Joy Manning are absolutely perfect and I’m hoping and wishing for pairs like these in the future cough cough. And Chloé decided that with winter SOMEWHERE around the corner we should be investing in cashmere ribbed hoods. I couldn’t agree more, and obviously I’m not alone in this assumption as one of the two hoods had already sold out long before I had a chance to make the morning rounds on net-a-porter. Astrological Fashion Blogging.

With Mars moving out of my sign and into Sagittarius, it’s fair to say that I’m of no use to anyone at the moment, unless negativity and a bad attitude is what people want – hey, I could be wrong, but I’m fairly certain my bad mood should be kept to myself until I can snap out of this funk. White on White Jersey.

Here are the next couple of new things on net-a-porter that made it onto my wish list. While I don’t wear a whole lot white (in fact I don’t think I actually even own anything white, save for the odd tee), it’s one of those colours that looks so clean, crisp and fresh, that whenever you wear it, or see someone else wearing it, you feel all sorts of ethereal energies. Introducing new brand, 1205, and old favourites; Clu and Oak.

Embellished Distractions.

After a long day spent thinking about American conspiracy theories (JFK to be more precise) and about how women in American politics are represented on television shows, there’s nothing quite like immersing myself in luxury fashion – at least for the moment before I dive back to work anyway. Those helping take my mind of uni work are: Rosantica’s BEAUTIFUL headband that I wouldn’t mind rocking; Tory Burch’s embellished knit sweater that would look divine tucked in a black wool mini and flat knee high boots; SUPER short and super cute black shorts a la Givenchy, worn with a roll-neck; a mini embellished Stella bag that would look perfect with just about anything; and finally Chloé’s fabulous sweater dress, which I’m sure will come in handy soon! Taking Myself To Church.

Fashion’s been a little bit slow on the blog lately, but I think it’s just because I’ve been obscenely and unnecessarily picky recently. However, to make up for all of that, I have the perfect thing below…

I know it’s a little hot these days, so definitely not the right time to be talking about the coming autumn/winter months, but these boots are worth that little bit of distraction. For the past few years I’ve been so fascinated by the riding boot that I’ve had my eye out for the perfect yet AFFORDABLE pair. But while these only tick one of the above box (in case you didn’t know £520 is a little out of my price range), I couldn’t resist adding them to my wish list, so at least if I can’t have them in person, I can have them in spirit.

Monday’s Are Good For Something.

Monday Again.

Yes it’s Monday again and the novelty of being home and not having assignments to complete has worn off, so I’m keeping myself busy with the blog and writing. Another way I’ve been occupying my mind is by browsing through the latest on net-a-porter. Here are my favourites.

I love cardigans like this because it means you don’t have to bother about buttons or doing it up; you simply throw it on top of anything to complete the look. This fuzzy warm red patterned cardigan from Etro reminds me of my travels in America and in spite of the Aztec designs embellishing it; it still manages to look simple.

Cardigans appear to be making the round today, but I’m not complaining. This Red Valentino is quite a departure from Etro, with its more classic and ladylike appeal, making it perfect for evenings out with friends, thrown on top of a casual look to make it appear more dressed up.
