The Alix Leather Clutch.

I was going to write a full post about the latest stuff I was fawning over on net-a-ports, but then I saw this clutch and it was GAME OVER. Okay so where do I start? For one the structure of this clutch is UH-MAZ-ZING! I love the oversized safety pin-esque detail, I love the peachy colour, and most of all I love the size. In recent months I’ve grown overly fond of the oversized clutch and the micro mini bag, and it’s been a while since I’ve paid attention to a normal size clutch that’s not only perfect for a night/day out, but that’ll only fit your essentials. This clutch would go with just about any outfit and would work well for any time of day. Heading out to lunch with friends? It’s perfect. Dinner and a movie? Even better. And guess what? It also has a strap that can be tucked away when most convenient, so if you do find yourself changing your mind about having to carry it, you can always drape the bag across your shoulders! Just perfect.

     

I mean, is this clutch perfect or what? And don’t even get me started on the name…

Quick Dinner OOTN.

So last week I went out to dinner with friends, and as I didn’t have enough time to check myself out in the mirror before I left, I figured I’d take a few snaps of my outfit en route – if you ask me, there’s no better time to multi-task ;). Not pictured are my Superga sneakers, but we’ve seen them so many times on here/Instagram it’s not really that much of a big deal. Next time I’ll try and get a proper full outfit picture.

 

These days I’m all about carrying a clutch in lieu of a shoulder bag. Not only do my shoulders FINALLY get a break from always having to lug a heavy sack everywhere, but it also adds that tiny bit of dressy-uppiness to the most dressed-down of outfits.

Kotur #getsmartbag Elaphe Clutch.

Quite possibly THE most genius idea for a clutch I’ve ever seen (though I feel like if there was a built-in charger I’d buy this in a heartbeat), Kotur has brought out a clutch small enough to carry just your phone and either a stick of lipstick or mascara, and that trusty piece of ID and card for a night out. This clutch doubles up as a phone case if you want to be able to see your phone at all times, but don’t want to hassle of having to carry it around in your hand.

Trinkets.

It’s one of those BLUERGHHHHH (Satur)day’s where everything seems worse than it is and eurgh I wish I was still in a comatose slumber. Clutchin’.

Net-a-porter had WAY too many options today, so I’ve decided to split my favourites and show them over the next couple of posts. As you can most probably tell from the title, this post will focus on my most favourite clutches and bags. Each are so cute, I wish I could just reach my hand into my laptop, screen and pull them out (wouldn’t that be so awesome if we could actually do that), then line them up so I could really admire them all up close.

Clutch It, Bring It Bag.

For those of you who grew up with an older brother who loved rap music, you’ll understand when I say that those early rap songs are pretty hard to just forget. Now you’re probably wondering what the hell rap noughties rap music has to do with net-a-porter, so let me explain. As I was going through the latest designer duds on net-a-porter this morning, I came across quite a few clothes and bags that I felt deserved their very own post, instead of being lumped together with the clothes (like I usually do). For some strange reason, while I was figuring out what to title this post, the 2006 Busta Rhymes song ‘Touch It’ popped into my head immediately and the rest as they say was history – I had my title. Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with the chorus of the song, it goes a little something like this: “touch it, bring it babe, watch it, turn it, leave it, stop, format it”. Anyway, onto the bags…
