Oooh, two net-a-port posts in two days… can you tell I’m procrastinating? Just kidding I’m not, I’ve just hit a wall. Anyway, while I try to get over this mental block, I thought a little browse on net-a-porter would do the trick. Today’s picks are jewels and dresses (everything a girl needs in life) that can all be styled with these awesome platform Eytys sneakers. While I’m usually not a fan of the flatform sneaker, I’ve had my eyes on these particular ones for a few months now and I wish soooo badly that I could own them. To show my love for the sneaker (and to mix things up a bit) I’ll be featuring these sneakers in every Styling Suggestion, to bring a laid back and casual feel to my favourite pieces. Wish List Rings.

This time last year I would never have imagined that jewellery would be such a part of my everyday life. I used to never wear ANY jewellery, save for a pair of earrings every now and then (and by “now and then” I mean practically never”); but these days I feel as though I’ve become something of a connoisseur (and by “connoisseur” I mean that I’m hardly ever without at least one ring on my hand). I’ve been on the lookout for some new rings to update my collection, and I thought I’d share some of my finds with you below.

Trinkets.

Notte by Marchesa Embroidered Dress.

This dress makes me wish that I’m twenty six, attending a fancy summer’s evening event with a hunky guy on my arm, looking for the perfect dress. The detail is most exquisite and exudes a playful yet sophisticated ultra luxe vibe, making this dress perfect for any occasion. I would wear this with simple natural looking makeup, and with my hair either pulled back in a high ponytail or a in sleek bun. See below for styling suggestions.

        

This rose adorned dress reminds me of that Elie Saab gown Halle Berry wore when she won her Oscar back in 2002, but with a super pink and girly twist.

Simple Pleasures.

Today’s picks are so simple yet manage to arouse a happiness and joy from deep (deep, DEEP) in my heart. You’ll probably also notice that the styling is such as simple as the pieces I’ve chosen. We start with Stella (who I’ll now deem the queen of sweaters, especially of the oversized variety) and her metallic sweater that makes me crave cold winters just so that I can cosy up inside one of these babies, and sit by the fire. Mr Louboutin does not disappoint with his spikey heeled ‘Kate’ pump that is the most beautiful shoe I’ve seen all week. Nothing warms my heart like a diamond or two… (I mean this blog is called DIAMONDS and pebbles – emphasis on the diamonds) and Ileana rounds off the pack with this simple thread ring that I need to own ASAP!

All Good Things Come in Black Boxes.

They say good things come in small packages and I really couldn’t agree more – although personally, I think I’d change it to: good things come in small “black” packages, especially if this morning is anything to go by.

I woke up to a lovely text message from the couriers telling me my special parcel was on its way to me, and I have to admit it felt like Christmas morning, eagerly awaiting my package.

One thing I will ALWAYS commend net-a-porter for is their fast and oh so efficient delivery service. Every time I’ve purchased something from the luxury brand, I’ve always received it the next day, even though they estimate a 2-3 working day wait. I mean, if that’s not great then I honestly don’t know what is!

I’m a sucker for a fab piece of ribbon. Scroll down for more ribbon action…

The packaging is so exquisite, I feel like I’m swimming in a pool of silky black waves.

The Glam Set.

If it’s one thing having a blog has shown me it’s that I speak WAY too soon. Remember when I said I wasn’t an accessory kind of girl, well I think I was completely wrong, at least if today on net-a-porter is anything to go by. All but one of my picks is fine jewellery, and when I say fine, I mean FINE, and net-a-porter is adorned with the likes of Jennifer Meyer, Artisan and Ippolita, so we’re all being spoilt today.

I had a “shut the front door” moment when I saw these sparklers. Of all my picks today, these earrings are by far my favourite! I love the shape, the way the rock is cut and set in such brilliant diamonds. For some strange and desperate reason, I really, REALLY want these – fucking hell, where’s my billionaire boyfriend when I need him?

I wasn’t sure about these earrings when I first saw them, but I thought that to be on the safe side, I’d better put them on the list. I’m still not all too sure what I think about them, but I have a feeling that as part of an outfit, they’d look pretty rocking.

I can remember the first time I posted about this ring. It was some time last year and it was one of my earlier posts when I first started this blog. I find it really interesting how since then I’ve seen a myriad of this very ring, only redesigned with different colours. I think that this colour is definitely my favourite though.

Over the months, Eberjey has become a favourite of mine in terms of sleepwear. They have the right mix of elegance and comfort, making them such a desirable garment to want to sleep in. These nude coloured shorts are just peachy, and I’ll be keeping my eye out for a cheaper alternative, although with my birthday coming up I might treat myself.

So simple, so gorgeous and so to the point. I love these black onyx and diamond earrings. I think they’ll finish off any black tie dress beautifully.

These are kind of ugly, but I think the ugliness is working in its favour. The intricate detailing makes these earrings look as though they should be part of an architectural structure in Barcelona.
